3 Easy Steps – How to Get a Medical Card, Same Day in Florida

Learn about medical card doctors, costs and qualifying conditions.

Obtaining a medical card is easy in Florida and allows permanent or seasonal residents to get approved by a certified medical cannabis doctor.

Here are 3 Easy Steps to Receive Your Medical Card in One Day

  1. Schedule an in-person visit with a qualifying medical card doctor near you. You’ll need to present a Florida I.D., passport or another form of ID with a photo. You and your physician will discuss your medical concerns and Florida’s qualifying conditions.
  2. Appointments only take 10-15 minutes with a followup every seven months. Your medical card doctor will submit information into Florida’s patient registry where shortly after you’ll receive an ID number by email to use at any medical dispensary. A physical ID card will be mailed to you within 1-2 weeks.
  3. The cost for a medical card is two-fold. A first time patient can pay anywhere from $129 and up for the doctor appointment. (Ask if the medical card clinic offers a new patient special.) The Florida state fee is $75.00 for 12 months and the same to renew.
