Visit a certified doctor to evaluate your condition: the first and foremost thing to obtain a medical marijuana card is to visit a certified medical practitioner. The doctor will evaluate your health condition based on personal assessment and medical reports. Based on his observation he will process your request further. If your medical condition falls within the rules of Florida law you will be recommended for the same. For recommendation, your ID proof of Florida residency and medical records will be required. A certified practitioner doesn’t mean any random doctor but, the doctor must be listed in the state’s cannabis program.

After you qualify for medical marijuana card by the certified doctor: now, the doctor will provide you with a patient registry ID number. You will have to apply online on the state’s website using the patient registration ID. On the other hand, your doctor will register you parallelly with Florida medical marijuana use registry. The listing will include your name, ID number, treatment recommendation and other identifying data.

The last step: once the process is entirely done and you are registered then you have to wait for state authorization. The process takes 2 to 3 weeks time. You will receive an official mail regarding the activation of the listing. Once you receive the mail you can take the printout of the mail or keep the soft copy of the same with you. now don’t forget to carry your photo ID while visiting the dispensary to obtain marijuana products.
