Florida Resident. Seasonal Residents, or application issues, can usually receive approval within 3 to 5 days. <\/p><p><strong>Why only a 7-month period?<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Florida law requires a new certification and orders every 210 days, this means you must get re-certified every 7 months. But don\u2019t worry &#8211; all you must do is <strong>schedule your recertification appointment online<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Why are medical marijuana cards good for 12-months but my certification is only good for 7-months?<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">We aren&#8217;t really sure why the State set it up like that, but they probably had a good reason.\u00a0 We will remind you in about 6-months from your doctor&#8217;s appointment that it is time to recertify.\u00a0 The State will send you a reminder to renew your card.
